Welcome

Please use the O-Week website throughout your first year for updates and general information regarding academics and campus resources. In particular, check out the "Helpful Info" section under the Resources menu for tips on how to manage stress, time, and money.

Students

Dear Rice Undergraduates,

Thank you for taking the time to visit Rice University’s O-Week 2008 Website.  If you are a new student, let me be the first to congratulate you on your admittance to Rice!

This website is one of the many resources that current Rice students and staff have developed to make your transition to life here as smooth as possible.  Here you’ll find updated information about O-Week as well as other resources offered by the University.  Please explore the website’s menus to learn about the students and staff that will be organizing O-Week, logistical considerations to keep in mind while planning to come to campus, campus services and resources, and information about each of Rice’s nine residential colleges.  Each drop-down menu has additional sub-menus, so be sure to explore it all!

If you have any additional questions throughout the spring and summer, please feel free to contact me, the 2008 Student Director of Orientation, at any time via phone or email.  I will be available throughout the summer and enjoy hearing from new students and their parents.

On behalf of myself and all of the 2008 O-Week Coordinators, we look forward to meeting you in August!

Sincerely,

Megan Hermance
