I’m Chef Brett Martinez, and I’ve spent over fifteen years mastering the art of cooking and understanding the complexities of the restaurant business. My culinary adventures began in early childhood, but truly took shape at the prestigious Culinary Institute of America in Hyde Park, New York, where I graduated top of my class.
My passion for food has taken me to different corners of the globe, from the bustling food markets of Bangkok to the classic bistros of Paris. I love combining international flavours with local ingredients, which has earned me not only numerous awards but also loyal fans. I have headed the kitchens of some of the world’s most renowned restaurants in New York, San Francisco and Paris, with a focus on creating innovative menus and providing exceptional service.
In addition to working behind the cooker, I am also an experienced taster and consultant in the restaurant industry. I help start-up restaurants create menus that conquer and satisfy a wide variety of tastes. My commitment to sustainability and keen understanding of culinary trends has made me a popular speaker and author in the field.
