Monday: January’s IFO survey will be released in Germany, with analysts seeing further deterioration in Business Climate, to 108.4 points.

Tuesday: The preliminary January Markit Purchasing Mangers’ Index will see light in the U.S., as will January’s Consumer Confidence Index. Apple (AAPL) is scheduled to release Q4’s earnings report.

Wednesday: January’s Nationwide House Prices data will see light in the U.K., still at a strong 4.5% annual gain. In the U.S., the weekly MBA Mortgage Applications will be released. December’s New Home Sales data is also due. The Fed will then make a rate announcement, though expectations from the market strongly suggest that they’ll keep rates unchanged.

Thursday: In the U.K., Advance fourth quarter’s Gross Domestic Product data will see light, with analysts expecting the annual gain in economic activity to moderate to 1.9%. The Final estimate for January’s Eurozone Consumer Confidence Index will also see light. In Germany, the preliminary Consumer Price Index print for January will see light. In the U.S., the weekly Initial Jobless Claims data will be released, as will the preliminary December Durable Goods Orders data. Microsoft (MSFT) and Amazon (AMZN) will release the fourth quarter’s earnings reports.

Friday: Labor market data will see light in Japan, followed by December’s national Consumer Price Index data and Tokyo January figures. Preliminary December Industrial Production data will also see light in Japan. Advance Q4 GDP data will see light in France, as will preliminary January Consumer Price Index data. Similar CPI data will also see light in Spain. For the Eurozone, M3 Money supply in December will see light, as will January’s CPI estimates. In the U.S., Advance Q4 GDP data will see light, as will January’s Chicago PMI and the final estimate for January’s University of Michigan Consumer Sentiment Index.
