Each month I will publish my dividend income. I will mainly do this for staying self motivated and to give you the readers the chance to follow my journey from the beginning on. The dividend income in the first couple of years will be on a very low level but investing in dividend stocks is all about the long term. I am very sure that in 5 years from now I will get my first rewards for the patience and focus on my goals.
Again time for another dividend income update. It is always one of my favorite posts at the beginning of each month, to review my last months’ dividend income. Surprisingly April was another record month with a total dividend income of 141.12 EUR. I did not expect that happening but thanks to Black Rock I received two payouts of my recently purchased ETF.
Overview dividend income April
My total dividend income in April was 141.12 EUR that is an increase of 220.4% compared to April 2016. That increase does mainly come from my additional investment in the ETF, changes in the exchange rate, dividend increases and one new company in my portfolio.

Conclusion
My average monthly dividend income in 2016 was at 58.86 EUR and currently it is at 90.01 EUR.
My projected full year dividend income is now at 1 328.83 EUR that means I have now an average of 110.74 EUR per month. So I reached my first goal to cross the average monthly dividend income of 100 EUR. To finally cross that number feels amazing as it is another step towards financial freedom. My goal until the end of the year is to have a total dividend income of 1 400 EUR.
I am already curious how long it does take to cross the 200 EUR average dividend income per month. According to my goals this should happen in 2018.
