Monday: March Personal Income and Personal Spending data will see light in the U.S. April ISM Manufacturing Index data will also be released in the U.S., as will Construction Spending data. AMD will announce the first quarter’s earnings, with a lot hanging on the balance given the company’s introduction of its new Ryzen platform in the beginning of March.
Tuesday: Monetary Base data will be released in Japan. April’s Caixin Purchasing Managers’ Index will be released in China. Pfizer and Apple will release the first quarter’s profit report.
Wednesday: Unemployment rate data will be released in Spain. Advance Q1 GDP data will be released in the Eurozone. In the U.S., the weekly MBA Mortgage Applications will see light. April’s ADP Employment Change will also see light, with analysts somewhat pessimistic, eyeing a 180K job addition, compared with 263K last month. The Fed is further scheduled to make a rate announcement, though not having a press conference makes markets price-in a mere 13% change for a hike on this one. An Earnings release is due by Facebook and Tesla.
Thursday: March Mortgage Approvals data will be released in the U.K. March Trade Balance data will see light in the U.S., along with the weekly Initial Jobless Claims, Factory Orders data and the final estimate of Durable Goods Orders data.
Friday: April’s Nonfarm Payrolls data will be released in the U.S., with a recovery expected to 193K jobs. Headline data will be coupled with Unemployment’s release, which analysts expect will rise from 4.5% to 4.6%.
